Kollel for Dedicated
Bnei Torah

About Us

Kollel Torah Temimah was founded in Elul 5779 by Rav Mordechai Linzer. The kollel comprises outstanding avreichim and enables them to reach new heights in learning, transforming them into true talmidei chachamim

The uniqueness of the kollel lies in its derech ha’limud. The kollel learns masechtos from cover to cover -- b'iyun and at a healthy pace. In general, learning b'iyun means learning very slowly. However, Rav Linzer, the Rosh Kollel, has found a way to learn b'iyun while covering a lot of ground. This rapid pace enhances iyun rather than impeding it. Learning sugyos with greater breadth instead of focusing on the small picture transforms the whole learning experience.

Rav Linzer is a close talmid of HaGaon Rav Asher Arielli, shlit”a, who is the source of this derech ha’limud. Rav Linzer has adapted Rav Asher's derech to a kollel setting. He has also used it as the basis of six seforim on Shas that he has published to date. These seforim have been highly praised by well-known roshei yeshiva and talmidei chachamim and are being used in yeshivos and kollels throughout the U.S and Israel.

Afternoon seder in the kollel continues where morning seder left off. This approach fosters an intimate attachment to the material that is covered and greatly enhances understanding of the sugya. The sedarim of the kollel are also longer than the norm and further creates a strong connection to the sugya.

Chazara is the cornerstone of the kollel, as this is the only way to truly master the masechta. Besides weekly and monthly chazara, the kollel does a final chazara on the whole masechta to put all the pieces together.

The Rosh Kollel works with the avreichim individually to further their learning and help develop their own derech ha’limud. The avreichim also give chaburos to enhance their abilities of teaching Torah. Avreichim in Torah Temimah attest that they are learning better than ever before.

Our goal is to produce roshei yeshiva and maggidei shiur for future generations who are true talmidei chachamim!

Several avreichim have taken the message of the kollel to heart by forming a Virtual Yarchei Kallah for those not working during the coronavirus epidemic. One small sugya was covered per week, with short daily shiurim by distinguished rebbeim. At its peak, the learning program was joined by hundreds of participants.

Avreichim receive a stipend of $1,000 a month, slightly more than the typical stipend. This is intended to cover expenses like extra childcare, so that the avreichim are able to more fully invest in their learning. The kollel currently has fourteen avreichim, with plans to grow in the future.
